The ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) has a cooperative agreement with the Conference for Food Protection (CFP) to accredit organizations involved in the certification of food protection managers in accordance with the CFP's Standards for Accreditation of Food Protection Manager Certification Program.
The ANAB-CFP Accreditation Committee (ACAC) was created as the vehicle with which to implement this agreement, and is responsible for accrediting personnel certification bodies that certify food protection managers, specifically:
Membership on the ACAC is balanced according to the agreement between ANAB and CFP: two members of the Committee are appointed by the CFP and the ACAC Chair and remaining members are appointed by ANAB.
The ACAC shall have a voting membership of not less than six and not more than 10 persons. ACAC vacancies created by members leaving before the expiration of a term may be filled by appointment for the remainder of the term by the respective organizations they represent.
