What Sets ANAB Apart

ANAB is the longest established provider of accreditation based on ISO standards for forensic agencies in the United States. We began providing accreditation of forensic testing agencies in 1982, and moved to a foundation based on ISO/IEC 17025 in 1999.

Our customers value the skill of our employees and assessors in providing fast and helpful service. ANAB has a 97% customer retention rate and is highly regarded in the accreditation community.

When undergoing an accreditation assessment, you want assessors who are not just skilled and knowledgeable but also know how to engage in a courteous, congenial, and meaningful manner. This is how working with ANAB makes the difference. No matter who you deal with at ANAB, you'll find that we serve our customers in a way that sets us apart from the others.

As a non-profit, non-government entity, ANAB operates with the freedom and speed of a private entity and without the burden of a profit-first mentality. We work closely with many U.S. federal agencies, including sponsorship of accreditation programs, auditing on the agency’s behalf, and directly accrediting the agencies themselves.

We believe in a partnership approach to assessments. Our assessors are highly trained industry experts who meet rigorous technical requirements.

ANAB is recognized internationally in accrediting organizations to ISO/IEC 17025. This recognition ensures global acceptance of ANAB-accredited laboratories' test reports. ANAB maintains membership in the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and the Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC) and InterAmerican Accreditation Cooperation (IAAC).
