This webinar is geared towards internal auditors, but may also benefit technicians, new personnel, management or other personnel that may participate in internal audits.
Objective evidence is data supporting the existence or verity of something (ISO 9000:2015).
- Verity means something that is true.
- Objective evidence is used during internal audits to determine conformity to requirements.
Those requirements may come from standards, such as ISO/IEC 17025, regulations, customers or internal requirements, like policies and procedures.
Internal auditors gather objective evidence to compare actual performance of processes to the requirements that form the audit criteria.
Objective evidence can be obtained through observation, measurement, test or by other means. During internal audits, objective evidence is gathered by auditors by observing processes, effective listening, interviewing personnel, and reviewing documents and records. It is important for internal auditors to effectively evaluate objective evidence during internal audits to accurately and efficiently determine conformance to requirements.
