
In-Person Training: Forensic Technical Assessor Training (5-day)

This course is a full 5 days conducted by a live or in person instructor. This course provides a review of ISO/IEC 17025:2017, the relevant ANAB forensic accreditation requirements (AR 3125), and the assessment process. In addition, through various practical exercises, classroom discussions, homework deliverables, and a final examination, attendees will gain knowledge about the ANAB assessment process, learn numerous assessment methods, and acquire skills for performing an assessment and collecting, verifying, and recording objective evidence.
This in-person course will be taught at the ANAB office in Washington DC.

Instructor: Lisa Brewer
is a Lead Assessor at ANAB and has a 35-year career in forensic science. She has worked in forensic disciplines like biology, seized drugs, and scene investigation. Lisa was the Laboratory Director at Verdugo Regional Crime Laboratory, where she established/operated an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited forensic laboratory. She was also the DNA Technical Leader, CODIS Administrator, and Quality Manager in this role.
