Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Revisited

In this webinar we will discuss cause analysis and corrective action. During this webinar, we will review requirements from some of the standards that require corrective action, such as ISO/IEC 17025, ISO/IEC 17020 and ISO 9001. In addition to reviewing requirements, we will go through some of the tools available for cause analysis, including fishbone diagrams, 5 whys, and failure mode and effects analysis. Additionally, we will discuss the importance of corrective actions to prevent recurrence of nonconformities and how cause analysis and corrective action fits into risk-based thinking.

Melanie Ross | Technical Products Developer 

Melanie Ross has over 20 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, and quality management. She has worked in several different industries, including chemical, biological, oil and gas, and aerospace. Her main role in each of these industries was the development of management systems, including internal audit programs, vendor qualification procedures, and implementation of lean six sigma.
