Overview of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 (Online)
Participants standard Participants will examine the origins of the ISO/IEC 17025 standard and learn practical concepts related to structural, resource, process and management system requirements.
The Overview of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 training is a self-paced, web-based training delivered through ANAB’s training platform. This introductory course provides an overview of ISO/IEC 17025:2017, outlining and detailing each clause of the standard.
Participants will examine the origins of the standard and explore concepts related to:
- General Requirements,
- Structural requirements,
- Resource requirements,
- Process requirements, and
- Management system requirements.
Additionally, practical concepts will be highlighted, including:
- Document control
- Internal auditing
- Risk-based thinking
- Measurement uncertainty
- Management review
- Continual improvement
Quizzes throughout the training aid in measuring comprehension. Upon completion of the overview course, participants will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the standard requirements and the ability to interpret the requirements for implementation in a laboratory.

Those involved with the standard and potentially seeking accreditation should attend this course. This could include top-level managers who require a fundamental understanding, as well as junior staff who need an overview of the standard. Individuals new to a company can also gain perspective in this course.
This training is presented as self-paced, web-based seminar through an online platform, Mindflash. Access information will be provided after we receive the registration payment.
Participants will be able to move through the module at their own pace. After payment for the training is processed, we will ask for your preferred start date and we will send you access to the training for five calendar days. Once you begin the training, you will be able to open and close the session as often as you like within those days. The training takes approximately four hours to complete. An attendance certificate will be emailed upon completion.
