ISO/IEC 17025 Training Course Description

This introductory course is specifically designed for those individuals who want to understand the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and how those requirements apply to laboratories. The course covers all requirements of the standard with a focus on what laboratory personnel need to know to understand and apply the requirements of the standard. Participants will learn practical concepts related to the standard requirements. Upon completing this course, participants will understand the concepts of laboratory management systems based on ISO/IEC 17025:2017.

  • Understand requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2017, including general, structural, resource, process, and management system requirements
  • Learn practical concepts, such as impartiality, documents control, ensuring validity of results and risk management
  • Understand the importance of meeting the standard requirements
  • Understand the structure, scope and applicability of the standard in the laboratory
  • Learn what records and documents are required for laboratories
  • Understand the benefits of accreditation and the role of accreditation bodies
