Certificate Accreditation Program Accreditation Committee (CAPAC)
The Certificate Accreditation Program Accreditation Committee (CAPAC) accredits training and educational certificate issuers in accordance with ANSI/ASTM E2659-18, Standard Practice for Certificate Programs and ASTM D8403-21 Standard Practice for Certificate Programs within the Cannabis and Hemp Industries.

Members and Officers
Membership on the CAPAC reflects a balance of training and education certificate program stakeholders to include representatives from various types of training and education organizations, training and learning experts, government, consumer and public interest organizations, and other individuals concerned with training and educational certificate programs.
To ensure transparency as well as equity and due process, accreditation committee proceedings follow PR 7502, Operating Procedure for Credentialing Accreditation Committees.
The committees are responsible for policy, procedures and accreditation decisions relating to credentialing bodies and related activities, specifically:
- Recommending policies.
- Creating procedures to support the approved policies.
- Receiving recommendations for accreditation from ANAB approved assessors,
- Hearing first-level appeals regarding accreditation decisions and/or complaints regarding a credentialing body.
- Preparing procedures and criteria for assessment.
- Formulating policy matters relating to the operation of the credentialing program.
- Reviewing the process of assessment and rendering decisions on accreditation.
- Making decisions relating to the granting, maintaining, extending, suspending, reducing, and withdrawing of accreditation.
- Creating procedures to support the approved policies.
- Receiving recommendations for accreditation from ANAB approved assessors.
- Supervising the implementation of accreditation program policies.
ANAB staff is the contact for all ANAB program oversight committees. Individual committee members listed should not be contacted directly concerning ANAB business.
