ANAB provides assessments of laboratories seeking a recommendation to a certifying authority of a state that allows evaluation in accordance with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Drinking Water Cryptosporidium testing requirements.

ANAB can assess these requirements independently or in conjunction with an assessment for ISO/IEC 17025 assessment or TNI Standard, Environmental Laboratory Sector, Volume 1, Management and Technical Requirements for Laboratories Performing Environmental Analysis, Sept 2009.

ANAB does not certify laboratories to the regulatory methods. It is the responsibility of the laboratory to determine if the certifying authority of the state within which the laboratory is located will accept an evaluation report and a recommendation of certification by ANAB.

ANAB assessors meet all EPA Certification Officer requirements and use the EPA required checklists and follow all EPA required processes.
