The Reference Material Producer (RMP) accreditation program allows RMPs to demonstrate their competence in the production of certified reference materials and reference materials by complying with international criteria specified in ISO 17034.
The goal of RMP accreditation is to provide 3rd party assurance of the quality of the reference materials produced for anyone who uses certified reference materials (CRM) or reference materials (RM) such as laboratories performing testing supporting fields such as environmental, energy, food, pharmaceutical, and product quality assurance.
The ANAB RMP accreditation program was designed to assure the quality of CRM and RM production through assuring compliance with ISO 17034. This internationally accepted standard specifies the general requirements for RMP operations and for demonstrating competence in the planning, control, production, assignment of property values, and distribution of CRMs and RMs.
RMPs can be accredited for a wide variety of materials used for critical and measurable properties along with establishing metrological traceability. RMs and CRMs are developed to specific levels of accuracy so that reference material can be individually selected to assure it is appropriate for its intended use.
The ANAB RMP accreditation program is internationally recognized by the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC). ANAB is proud of our more than 40 RMPs who have been accredited across the globe.
