WEBINAR
Implementing A Risk-based Thinking Approach
This webinar will provide an overview of the concept of risk-based thinking by defining risk and presenting the basic elements of a risk assessment process. Standard requirements related to risk will be reviewed across several management and technical ISO standards to demonstrate how risk-based thinking can be implemented in a management system.
Many ISO standards are now less prescriptive and contain more performance-based requirements that foster a risk-based thinking approach. This risk-based thinking approach gives organizations the ability to design and implement a management system that works for their organizational culture and needs. Applying a risk-based thinking approach, allows organizations to plan for and better control potential risks and to take advantage of continual improvement opportunities. In the end, implementing a risk-based thinking approach facilitates greater effectiveness and continuous improvement of management system processes.
