Forensic Technical Assessor Training (January 23-26, 2023)

The primary goal of this course is to train individuals to serve as an ANAB technical assessor in the application of ISO 19011, Guidelines for Auditing Management Systems, during an assessment of a forensic science testing or calibration laboratory or a forensic inspection body.

This course provides a review of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 or ISO/IEC 17020:2012, the relevant ANAB forensic accreditation requirements (AR 3125 or AR 3120), and the assessment process. In addition, through various practical exercises, classroom discussions, and a final examination, attendees will gain knowledge about the ANAB assessment process, learn numerous assessment methods, and acquire skills for performing an assessment and collecting, verifying, and recording objective evidence. General Corrective Action (January 24, 2023)

In this course, participants will learn the four most common cause analysis techniques: Ishikawa diagrams, five whys, FMEA, and Pareto charts. The concepts for each will be reinforced by walking through an example related to operation of a testing laboratory and reviewing the standard requirements for corrective action.

While this course is designed with laboratory-specific examples, the concepts presented are applicable to many types of organizations. Quizzes and exercises throughout the training demonstrate understanding of the concepts presented. Register before December 26 for a $50 discount!

Lead Assessor Intensive (January 23-26, 2023)

ANAB has redesigned its Lead Assessor Intensive Training course to an exercise-based approach to better support and develop the competencies required of a lead assessor. The course was developed in response to the recent change of focus on competence within laboratory-related accreditation standards and is based on ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17011 requirements.

The Lead Assessor Intensive Training course is designed to develop the required knowledge and skills by incorporating small group exercises, course work, and case studies for hands-on learning, allowing attendees to demonstrate their competencies in the classroom, as well as on final examination.

When combined with one of our standard-specific courses, the successful completion of Lead Assessor Intensive Training will demonstrate that the participant has the knowledge to apply the skills as defined in the learning objectives. Register before December 26 for a $200 discount!

Making IAF Mandatory Documents Work for You (January 26)

Certification bodies often complain that when it comes to audit-time determination, IAF Mandatory Documents 1, 5, and 11 are prescriptive and make determining audit time too complicated. This course was developed to help demystify the content of these documents, demonstrate how these documents should be used in combination, and help commercial and technical staff understand that the documents allow flexibility to consider each potential client on a case-by-case basis. Case studies are used to help participants understand how these Mandatory Documents work together for determining credible audit times. Register before December 26 for a $200 discount!
