ISO/IEC 20000-1: Information Technology Service Management Systems
What is ISO/IEC 20000-1 SMS Accreditation?
ANAB Accreditation for Information Technology – Service Management Systems Certification is designed for accrediting organizations that want to provide globally recognized certification for meeting service requirements and deliver value.
ANAB accredited certificates will provide certified organizations with the ability to demonstrate verified commitment to ensure they effectively deliver managed services to meet business and customer requirements.
Throughout the years ANAB personnel have served on international work groups directly impacting policies and requirements in the information security management systems accredited certification arena, including the IAF ITSMS working group.
An organization with an accredited service management system can be expected to achieve organizational objectives through the effective and efficient management of its services. Coordinated integration and implementation of service management processes provides assurance that those objectives can be achieved consistently and sustainably over time.
ISO/IEC 20000-1 promotes adoption of an integrated process approach to effectively deliver managed services to meet business and customer requirements. To function effectively, an organization has to identify and manage numerous linked activities. Coordinated integration and implementation of service management processes provides ongoing control, greater efficiency and opportunities for continual improvement.
ISO/IEC 20000-1 is a base standard program in ANAB’s fee schedule.
Please refer to the information about the accreditation process at How to Become an ANAB-Accredited Certification Body.
