Larrimer Co-Authors Food Safety Tech Article
ANAB’s Natalia Larrimer is the co-author of an article explaining “Why Accredited Services increase Business Opportunities and Contribute to the Harmonization of Regulations” in the latest Food Safety Tech e-newsletter.
Larrimer, a business development specialist for ANAB, and her co-author, Dr. Jacqueline Southee, discuss the accreditation and certification processes in the context of accredited services increasingly becoming an integral part of business operations.
The authors focus in particular on accreditation as it relates to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and the rule on accredited third-party certification, which incorporates the accreditation process for oversight of third-party certification bodies certifying foreign food facilities manufacturing for import into the United States.
