Cybersecurity Conformity Assessment
Internet of Things (IoT)
April 25 @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm EDT
On March 14, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) voted to establish the U.S. Cyber Trust Mark, a voluntary label that would provide consumers information regarding the cybersecurity of Internet of Things (IoT) devices. While the program is still under development, three elements are clear:
- Products must be tested by a laboratory accredited to ISO/IEC 17025;
- Products must be certified by an organization accredited to ISO/IEC 17065; and
- Requirements for products will be based on guidance published by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
This webinar will review each of these elements, how they’re utilized by FCC in its existing equipment authorization program, and how they may fit into this new program. The intended audience is anyone associated with the development, manufacturing, support, testing, or certification of IoT products and related components.
