Certificate Programs in cannabis are growing in number and relevance to the Cannabis industry. The new Cannabis Certificate Accreditation Program (C-CAP) under the Certificate Accreditation Program (CAP) assesses and recognizes training and education certificate programs within the cannabis/hemp industries.

Accreditation

CBD Oil Dripping

Accreditation under this program is based on:

  • ASTM D8403, Standard Practice for Certificate Programs within the Cannabis and Hemp Industries

  • Plus any additional state Responsible Vendor Training requirements

ANAB accredits training organizations that assure learning outcomes are met for cannabis training courses, evidenced by certificates. ANAB does not provide the training and certificates to individuals, but accredits the organizations shown below who provide cannabis certificates.

Responsible Vendor Training

Some states require that cannabis certificate programs adhere to specific statewide Responsible Vendor Training (RVT) requirements. Your RVT program can be accredited as a part of your cannabis certificate program accreditation.

How to Apply

The application process for accreditation of a Cannabis Certificate Program is the same as the process for regular Certificate program accreditation. Learn more.

Certain states require that cannabis handlers have a certificate from an ANAB-accredited organization. To apply for your cannabis certificate, choose a provider from the list of ANAB-accredited cannabis certificate programs:
