Assessors (Generalists/Psychometricians) for ANAB Personnel Certification Accreditation Programs and Certificate Accreditation Programs
ANAB is seeking contract assessors to assess Personnel Certification Accreditation Programs and Certificate Accreditation Programs. Competent assessors will serve on a contractual basis to evaluate the competence and integrity of organizations across all industries that issue certificates or offer certifications for persons against the accreditation criteria contained in ISO/IEC 17024:2012 Conformity assessment – General requirements for bodies operating certification of persons , ANSI/ASTM E2659-18, Standard Practice for Certificate Issues, or ASTM D8403-21, Standard Practice for Certificate Issuers in the Cannabis and Hemp Industries as well as relevant ANAB policies and procedures.
Desirable assessor candidates will have leadership experience in certification and/or accreditation organizations. Once selected, successful assessor candidates must participate and successfully pass classroom and field training regarding the ISO/IEC 17024, ANSI/ASTM E2659-18, or ASTM D8403-21 standard and ANAB accreditation process. The final step is approval from the ANAB Credentialing Assessor Review Panel.
Required Skills and Knowledge include, but are not limited to:
- For generalist assessors: minimum Bachelor’s degree
- For psychometrics assessors: minimum Doctoral degree in educational measurement or other measurement-related fields
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in certification/accreditation/assessment/program evaluation
- Knowledge of general quality management system principles and tools
- Basic computer/technology skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal relations and interviewing skills
- Ability to work in environments under high-pressure situations and produce deliverables in a timely manner
- Conflict resolution skills
- Attentive to detail
- Ability to impartially evaluate the outcomes of an assessment and make evidence-based decisions
- Experience designing, filling or reviewing online applications
