This web-based course introduces the corrective action process as outlined in ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO/IEC 17020 and presents one approach for performing effective cause analysis. In addition, participants learn how to evaluate the significance of nonconforming work to determine if corrective action is necessary, the philosophy, purpose and benefits of performing an effective cause analysis, the process of asking ‘why’ at least five times to get to the source of the non-conformance, why ‘blaming the individual’ is missing the point, and the difference between correction and corrective action.
Participants will also acquire skills, approaches and tools for evaluating and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of a management system through effective cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.

Course Structure: The course content is presented in a series of four (A-D) live web-based modules, 2 hours each day. Participants are required to take the courses in sequence and an attendance certificate will be emailed to the attendee after all four segments are completed.
